Event Overview

The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) returns to Chicago for Week 8 of the 2026 season, July 10-11, at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium in Evanston. All 8 PLL teams will compete across two days of traditional 10v10 field lacrosse, plus Fan Fest experiences and family activities on the shores of Lake Michigan.

Q: What format does the PLL play?

The PLL regular season plays traditional 10v10 field lacrosse. Sixes (6v6 with 30-second shot clocks) is a separate format used for the Olympics and the PLL Championship Series in the offseason.

Q: How long are the games?

PLL games are four 15-minute quarters with a running clock, typically 2-2.5 hours total. Stoppage time in the final 2 minutes of each half.

Venue Information

Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium is a lakeside venue on Northwestern University's campus in Evanston, IL. Located right on the shore of Lake Michigan, it offers stunning views and an intimate atmosphere that players and coaches have called one of the best on the PLL tour. The stadium was expanded for football and hosted its first PLL weekend in July 2025.
